Harness the sun to make art. Using one of the oldest photographic printing techniques, kids create vivid blue prints with leaves, flowers, drawings and found objects — magic made with light and shadow.

Das Blaue Wunder — The Blue Wonder — is a workshop that turns sunlight into art. Cyanotype is one of the oldest photographic printing processes in existence, and it's as enchanting today as it was when it was first discovered. Using light-sensitive paper and whatever they can find — leaves, flowers, feathers, hand-drawn shapes, little treasures from the ground — kids arrange their compositions, step into the sun and watch something extraordinary happen. The results are luminous, one-of-a-kind prints in brilliant shades of blue, developed by nothing more than sunlight and water. Every choice of object, every angle of shadow, creates something that can never be repeated. Part science, part art, entirely wonderful — this is a workshop full of discovery, surprise and the particular satisfaction of making something beautiful out of the world around you. Places are limited to 14 participants.
