Dwayne Holliday

Dwayne Holliday is a former professional ballet and contemporary dancer with a background in stage performance, choreography, and improvisation. He teaches yoga and dance throughout Europe and the United States. His practice is grounded in the belief that the tools of dance offer meaningful insights for anyone on the path toward embodied consciousness.

This workshop offers anatomically informed improvisation tasks designed to cultivate a highly articulate and expressive body. Using real-time compositional techniques, we will explore how to move with others in space and how movement itself can become a practice of being with another. No prior dance experience is required—only a sincere curiosity to explore movement as both biological and social medicine. The workshop is approached with lightness and joy, because the topic is far too important to be taken too seriously.
